Psychological Counselling Cell

A Psychological Counselling Cell is an essential facility in educational institutions, workplaces, and community centers designed to provide mental health support, emotional guidance, and coping strategies for individuals facing Psychological challenges. The cell aims to promote mental well-being, foster personal growth, and improve overall productivity. This cell is established on15th October 2024 in the university campus.

The mission of the Psychological Counselling Cell in Siddharth University is to:

The primary objectives of a Psychological Counselling Cell include:

  • Provide comprehensive Psychological support to students, faculty, and staff.• Providing a safe and confidential environment for individuals to express their concerns.
  • Offering professional guidance to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
  • Promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma surrounding psychological concerns.• Helping individuals develop coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
  • Conducting workshops and awareness programs on mental well-being.

A well-structured Psychological Counselling Cell of the University typically offers the following services:

1. Individual Counselling:

  • One-on-one sessions with trained counselors to address personal issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, and academic or professional pressure.

2. Group Counselling:

Progress of the Cell

Nearly 10-12 students and employees have so far discussed their problem with the counsellor and their problems are based on their study, study stress, relationship related, work place stress ,social phobia etc and they are satisfied by the solution of their problems.

In today's fast-paced and demanding environment, a Psychological Counselling Cell is indispensable for ensuring mental wellness. By providing individuals with essential support and guidance, such facilities contribute significantly to improving quality of life, emotional stability, and overall well-being.
