Introduction

The Equal Opportunity Cell of Siddharth University was set up to address the equal rights issues, other forms of unjustifiable discrimination and prejudices of Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Caste, minorities and persons with disabilities on a continual basis. The main objective of the Equal Opportunity Cell is to help and empower the persons with disabilities, students to participate fully in the academic, intellectual, social and cultural life of University on an equal basis.

The Equal Opportunity Cell shall protect the constitutionally guaranteed rights, dignity, safety, and security of all individuals belonging to the Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs) and also ensure them equalizing access and opportunities to pursue higher education with the help of the existing statutory bodies such as SC/ST Cell and OBC Cell.

Aims and Objectives

  • To oversee the effective implementation of policies and programmes for SEDGs
  • To provide guidance and counselling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus.
