The Department of Home Science was established in the year 2021. The Department started its B.Sc. Programme in 2022-23 and academic session started from July 2022-23. B. Sc Home Science is being run as per the guidelines of the New Education Policy, NEP-2020.The courses taught in the Department broadly cover areas of Food and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Family Resource Management and Consumer Science, Human Development and Family Studies and Extension Education and Communication management. This Department is efficiently run by Dr. Deepti Giri and Dr. Raksha. Both faculties are dedicated to shaping careers of students and imparting vision. Dr. Deepti Giri has about 06 years of teaching experience and Dr. Raksha has 8 years of teaching and research experience. The main responsibilities of both faculty members are effective classroom teaching, academic counseling and advice for students, and involvement in Departmental, Faculty and University committees. Both the faculty members also attended various educational conferences, seminars, and events.
Board of Studies
The syllabus of B. Sc Home Science has been approved by board of studies. The syllabus is also revised from time to time. Board of studies includes the members of Siddharth University and as well as affiliated colleges.
