The Department Of Public Administration was established in the Faculty Of Arts with the establishment of the Siddhartha university, Kapilvastu. In October 2020, Associate Professor Dr. Sunita Tripathi, Assistant Professor Dr. Ravi Kant Shukla and Assistant Professor Dr. Arvind Kumar Rawat were appointed in the Department. The first regular session started in the year 2020-2021 under which Master of Arts (M.A,) course was conducted according to the CBCS system. Since its inception, the department has been concentrating to maintaining global standards in its teaching as well as co-curriculum activities. In this department teachers and students are deeply interested in understanding the administrative and social problem around them. The department is committed to give new directions to the teaching and research areas in the discipline. The department has been highly active in organizing academic and co-curriculum activities.
The department offers unique opportunities in the discipline. Presently the department is offering B.A., M.A., Ph.D. programs in Public Administration. The department have its BoS for UG, PG, RAC, DRC and RDC for Ph.D. All Programmes in Public Administration are job oriented in nature and multi- disciplinary approach. The courses have been scientifically planned so that they can constitute building blocks to impart specialized, skill-based education through teaching, activities, workshops, seminars and conferences. It provides students with the knowledge and skills to analyze and manage process of governance, policy making and administration at many levels of government.
The syllabi of master’s course cover wide range of core and optional papers that help students to explore dimensions of policy making, mechanics of public policy design and implementation, strategies that Public and Non-Profit Organizations use to respond to major policy problem and dilemmas. Further they get an opportunity to undertake individual and original research as part of dissertation.
The department undertakes research activities: Ph.D. programme. The faculty and research scholars are engaged in research. A large number of research papers, books and articles have been published in national and international publications.
