The Department of Psychology was established in the year 2021. The first faculty member to join the department was Dr. Harendra Kumar Sharma (Ph.D) recruited on 21 May, 2021 and after three months a guest faculty Dr. Radha Madhdesia (Ph.D) was also recruited. After completion of an academic session another faculty member was recruited namely Dr. Munnoo Khan (Ph.D) on 22 August 2022. For the academic session 2023-24 two guest faculties - Dr. Annu Prasad (Ph.D) and Miss Roshni Singh (NET) were recruited. At present, the department is smoothly running UG and PG programmes along with its minor courses. The department offers different course curricula in the area of Clinical Psychology, Organizational Psychology and Counselling Psychology, Social Psychology, Health Psychology. Department is assimilating the contemporary knowledge with the traditional knowledge.
The research profile of the department is quite impressive. Our faculty members have published various research papers in reputed national and international journals like Science Direct, Elsevier curious, UGC-Care peer reviewed etc. Currently research is being conducted in the area of personality, social psychology along with Organizational Behaviour, Clinical Psychology, Positive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Health Psychology, etc.

2.Presented more than 30 research articles in seminars.
3.Attended 10 short term courses, workshop and 1 induction/orientation program.

7.To establish the UG and PG Lab for making teaching learning process well.

Dear Faculty members and students, I whole heartily welcome you all to the newly established Psychology department. Indeed, it is a moment of great challenges for me to establish the department from very beginning. But proudly, I would like to say that our department is running both UG, PG and Ph. D programs very smoothly and students are being facilitated in their learning by the different pedagogies as per their requirements. It is my appeal to everyone, students, faculty members and non-teaching staff to join their hands to make conducive and engrossing atmosphere that suit for the academic, research and co-curricular activities and to develop the department as the best.
